DC Waste | Dumpsters For Rent When You Need Them
Dumpsters for Rent
We've called this area home for a number of years now, and we're always grateful for the people we meet and work with. It all started with the Deming family's strong beliefs and committments to family, church, school, and work. This company has allowed the Demings to closely serve the community more closely and personally than the large, national and privately-held companies they'd worked with in the past. DC Waste has become a strong company that continues to grow in Central Illinois.

Renting a Dumpster: What to Know
What can I put in my dumpster?
Anything classified as general waste is acceptable in our containers. General waste usually includes general cleanup from projects around the house that does not consist of hazardous chemicals or liquids.
What can’t go in the dumpster?
Hazardous waste and liquids cannot go in the dumpster because of the harmful chemicals and features that they contain. Hazardous waste includes TV’s, monitors, fridges, paints, solvents, liquids or any asbestos.
Extra Fees:
Speak with us before disposing of large, heavy, or bulky items. If you're planning to get rid of an old mattress or box spring, kitchen appliances, or you're ridding your garage of old tires, speak with us first so you're not surprised by any additional fees.
It’s wise to inquire about added expenses such as; overage charges, tipping fees, late fees and fuel surcharges, so that you can have a true comparison.
We do not want you to be surprised with any charges, so we encourage you to ask as many questions as necessary to avoid that happening.
Empty & Return:
Ask us about "empty & return," which is an option for customers who have enough trash for more than one dumpster but not enough money to afford two (or a larger sized model). An empty and return is where you call us when you fill your dumpster and our driver will come out to your location, empty the container at the proper facility and then return to your property.
How much weight can I put in the dumpster?
The size of the dumpster you order will determine how much weight you can put in your dumpster. We have more detailed specs listed on our residential dumpster rental services page and our commercial dumpster rental services page.
How do I determine what size I need?
We have more detailed specifications regarding size and weight capacity on our services page. Visit the above links or ask us personally.
What if I have two different waste types? Can I mix them?
You should not mix different waste types in the same container. This means that general household waste shouldn't be mixed in with concrete and other construction supplies from a demolition.
Picking The Right Size Dumpster For You:
You might find that a 20-yard dumpster is too large for your home clean-out. Or, maybe it's not big enough. In any case, we want to help you avoid paying for a dumpster you'll only half fill, or paying for one dumpster only to discover you need a second.
In our experience, customers have encountered the following:
-
10 yard dumpsters are good for those small remodeling projects or medium sized cleanouts such as a deck under 300 square feet or shingle roof removal under 1,500 square feet. They hold 10 cubic yards of material which translates into around 3 pickup trucks full of debris.
-
20 yard dumpsters are for those medium sized remodeling projects or for major cleanouts such as carpet removal for a large home, shingle roof removal over 1,500 square feet or deck removal over 300 square feet. They hold 20 cubic yards of material which translates into around 6 pickup trucks full of debris.
-
30 yard dumpsters are generally used more for commercial purposes or for a major home addition or new construction. They hold 30 cubic yards of material which translates into around 9 pickup trucks full of debris.
-
40 yard dumpsters are also usually more for commercial or industrial purposes, however if you are doing a complete window or siding replacement, this might just be the size for you. They hold 40 cubic yards of material which translates into around 12 pickup trucks full of debris.
So, it’s important to ensure you clear an area large enough to accommodate a bulky roll off container. This means moving automobiles out of the driveway, kids toys, and any other obstacles the roll off truck may encounter when dropping off your rented dumpster.
Dumpster rental companies have a limited number of containers on-hand, so it’s important to call ahead to confirm that they'll have the dumpster you need available. While some circumstances may make it difficult to plan very far ahead, it's always a safer bet to do so when possible.
