As of Summer 2025, DC Waste is proud to announce the expansion of our services to now include portable services and pumping solutions. Our offerings feature portable restrooms, hand wash stations, septic tank pumping, manhole pumping, and more, all delivered with the same reliability and professionalism our customers know us for. Whether it’s for a job site, special event, or residential need, our team is ready to provide clean, convenient, and dependable service throughout Central-Southern Illinois.

In April 2024 we were thrilled to announce the addition of Lake Shelbyville and Carlyle Lake to our waste collection portfolio. Carlyle Lake, the largest lake in Illinois, and Lake Shelbyville are both US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) lakes. Our team services approximately 80 dumpsters between the two locations, ensuring these locations are clean and enjoyable for residents and visitors alike. This expansion highlights our commitment to serving central Illinois and preserving its unique beauty and history.

On October 28, 2017, DC Waste & Recycling was honored with the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award. As of January 1, 2022, we are honored to begin our exclusive residential waste collection contract with the City of Mt. Olive. This partnership marks an exciting opportunity to expand our presence in Eastern Macoupin County. Residents can expect reliable, consistent, and aesthetically pleasing service, powered by our investment in automated collection equipment and advanced tablet technology. We sincerely thank the City of Mt. Olive and its residents for placing their trust in us to serve their community.

As of January 1, 2021, we are proud to announce our agreement with Finley Disposal, Inc. to purchase their customer list and assets. After successfully growing their business over a multi-year period, the Finleys have trusted DCW to continue operations. This acquisition seamlessly integrates into our operations, providing growth opportunities in the Christian and Shelby County markets. With this expansion, we now serve a total of 7 counties across Central Illinois. We are excited to welcome the former Finley customers to our growing client base and look forward to providing them with the same reliable, community-focused service.

On June 1, 2015, the Deming family of Hillsboro proudly acquired Stewart Sanitation, Inc., a waste collection company that has served the solid waste needs of Montgomery, Bond, Fayette, and Macoupin counties since 1976. With over 25 years of experience in waste collection and landfill operations, the Demings are dedicated to managing the company with a strong focus on "keeping it local." Rebranded as DC Waste & Recycling, Inc., the company is named in honor of their two sons. The Demings are proud to be the sole owners, continuing a legacy of reliable, community-focused service.
